Shooting in Connecticut
I am very sad about the shooting in Connecticut. For example, most of the people killed were five to six year old. I have two baby sisters and one is six. My sister and I never really bonded and got along. If this was to happen to her I would be despondent and I wouldn't have forgiven myself because I sort of favored my two year old sister more because I practically raised her. My sister Miracle is a bit more complicated but I still love her. Learning about the shooting only made me realized that you could lose anyone at anytime. So I'm going to make an appoint to spend some time with her and really give her a chance. I learned to appreciate my family more and to not take things for granted. I hope this would be the last of things like this tragedy. I pray for the families that didn't have a child to take home on that horrible day. I hope this is a valuable lesson for those who keep guns around a child who is mentally unstable and take them to shooting ranges.

Irony in "Lamb to the Slaughter"
The irony in “Lamb to the Slaughter” makes the story memorable. For example, the detectives stated, “Probably right under our noses. What do you think Jack?” when they sat down to eat the leg of lamb (p.324). This shows that, the detectives were unaware of the lamb being the weapon, but the audience knows what it was used for, which makes it dramatic irony. This also shows that, the reader is amused because they know that the weapon really is under their nose. For example, Mary yelled, “Patrick!...How are you, darling?” after she got home from the vegetable store (p.321). This shows that, she blatantly tried to act like everything was normal even though she knows he is not okay making this situation verbal irony. This also shows that, the reader is interested in how she is going to act when she finds Patrick dead. In conclusion, Mary Maloney keeps the reader guessing based on her behavior and how she handled the murder of her husband.

My night at Target
The trip to Target was so much fun. I had practice right before we left so I had to rush home and take a quick shower before I was rushed out the door. The whole campus piled into the three buses that were available to us. On the way there I was thinking about what I was going to get . When we got there regular shoppers were curious of what was going on. Half of the people left within the first ten minutes we were there. When I got my paper that told what I could get and what I couldn't I was a little upset. I mean how are you going to get $200 and not spend some of it on food. I decided to head to the entertainment section and that's where everybody was. I got some movies and then I headed to the boy section because they always had the best stuff. I got a two flannel shirts, Angry bird boxers, pajamas, blanket, and slippers. I then headed to the bedroom accessories and got a new comforter and pillow case. When I was done I headed to the front of the store and was surprised. The line was wrapped three aisle's and I had to jump in line before anyone else got in front of me. I waited for about 30 minutes before I was checked out and ready to get on the bus to go home. We waited 20 minutes more for more kids to pile on with all their merchandise. We headed home and I was super tired and ready to knock out. When we came home I went straight to bed.

Academic Language Written Assessment Week 15
Cell phones are not safe to use while driving. For example, Some people have a hard time ASSESSING the situation before they check their text messages putting themselves and other drivers on the road in danger. This shows that, you might think that they are capable of handling the responsibility, but you never know what's around the corner. Some people do not get the CONCEPT of constant distractions when texting or talking while driving. By past experiences in my life I can RELATE that not everybody is capable of multitasking while keeping an eye on the road. In conclusion, I truly believe that cell phones should not be in mind while trying to be safe on the road.
