Academic Language Assessment week 9

Vending machines should be banned from high schools. For example, students spend more time and money on the snack utilities other than their studies. This shows that, they should pack an ALTERNATIVE healthy snack if they know they're going to get hungry in the middle of the day. This also shows that, kids eating habits are not disciplined enough to make healthy food choices for themselves if half of their allowance is spent on junk food. If students still get hungry in the middle of the day they should make a STRATEGY so that they are not making unhealthy lifestyle choices. I'm not bashing on all vending machines, because some of the machines offer healthier food items. For example, in hospitals they offer fruit and alternative snack items. In my PREVIOUS school they encouraged children to bring fruits and vegetables for snack instead of heart attack food that will effect them later in life. In conclusion, vending machines should be kept at bay in high schools so eating habits in the future will not have a bad outcome.

Academic Language Written Assessment Week 8

The ten commandments do not belong in public schools. For example, the content of the CATEGORY might be a sensitive subject for some people to handle. This shows that, Mixing religion and school subjects is not a good idea because it could cloud the judgement of  a teacher and his/her teaching methods. This also shows that, the important subjects that kids need to learn might not be paid attention to, because time can be CONSUMED by the teachers personal beliefs. Their are private schools for religion if the parents want the subject to be taught to their children. For example, the private schools offer special classes that teach and also preach about different religions. This shows that, public schools do not need to teach these subjects because you can pay a fee to have your children attend certain schools if you wish. Being religious is a personal reference and not everybody believes in religion. Religion shouldn't have to play a ROLE in education if you do not have a desire to participate in churchgoing activities. In conclusion, the separation between church and state should the same because it would prevent complications from occurring.
