Ironic Story Blog Paragraph
Once upon a time, there was a young couple and they lived in Bronx, New York in 1986. They had three young kids and the dad had 2 jobs. The mom always took advantage of that and could never really keep a job to save her life. To relieve stress both of the parents had a therapy of their own. The dad played the lottery and the mom ate truffles and she wouldn't share with any body. Eventually, the bills of their therapy's started to rise. The dad said that she had to stop buying all those truffles because they were really expensive. She told him that if she had to stop buying truffles he had to stop playing the lottery. They both agreed. The dad had different idea's and decided that if she didn't find out he could keep playing. He was always a big dealer when it came to dishonesty. The mom was the one who always decided to make her own plans but now she told herself that she was going to stick it out if he was with deal. One day, The mom was washing clothes and came across the receipt with the price of a recent lottery ticket. She was furious. So she marched on down the to the corner market and bought twelve boxes of Truffles. She went home and cleaned then she waited in the kitchen and started eating the chocolate luxury's. The dad came in and saw her eating. For an instant he was raged then he realized that in his back pocket was the lottery ticket he had just bought. He understood that she found out and he felt ashamed of himself. He apologized and so did she. In the end the lesson is you can't demand something then turn around and do the exact same thing. Hypocritical.

JCCS Academic Language Written Assessment Week 32
A student should not have to pass a high school exit exam in order to earn a high school diploma. One reason is, the cost to DISTRIBUTE the test could be really expensive and some students don't have the resources or the money to pay the fee for the exam. Another reason is, students shouldn't have to pass a test before OBTAINING a diploma, becasue they should be prepared if they already went through four years of high scool. Additionaly, the The subjects in which the students should be tested in VARY from what jobs they wish to acquire. This makes it difficult to test the students on the right skills. In conclusion, Students should always be able to graduate and get a diploma if their grades and effort is put forth. I disaagree with the paragraph, but all the words go with no. |

Academic Language Week 31 - Teen Vandals
Parents of teen vandals should not be held responsible for their child's damage. One reason is because their children will not be able to ACHIEVE a better understanding if their mistakes are not paid for correctly. If the child is not given a SPECIFIC punishment for the damage, they will never be able to function in a society if they do not understand the rules. Children need to COMPUTE their consequences without an adults help. In conclusion, parents should not be responsible for their child's actions.

Spring Break Blog Paragraph
During my spring break my mood was boomeranged between relaxing to exciting. For example, I got to have the experience of going to Hollywood with the high schoolers in my house. The outing was really fun because we got to spend time with our house mother Debrah. This just shows that being responsible can give you great results in return. In addition, I also had the advantage of going to a Key Club convention in Santa Clara. This is event was an abundant experience that I was glad to have the satisfaction of going, and getting to know my fellow key clubbers from other districts. This just shows that being a key clubber gives you a lot of opportunities to travel to places and become a better leader in our community. Looking back I realize that I had a exceptional spring break and I can't wait for Summer to come.

Academic Language Week 30 - "D" Grades
D grades should not be eliminate. It would be to complicated trying to keep up your grades. Kids with learning disabilities might get frustrated with the grading system and give up trying. It would be harder trying to keep up with the education than just giving up.
