''Marigolds'' Lizabeth's Shoes

I chose prompt B because I have had many situations where my grandma was worrying about the bills and how she was going to pay them. She was a foster mom of six children, but when my brother, sister, and my younger brother got moved into different homes all of their checks got taken away. So my grandma had to live paycheck to paycheck and we had to compromise a lot. I started to work for people at my church by cleaning their houses or washing their cars so that I could give the money to her at the end of the month so we could have a little bit extra. At first, I was always the youngest and didn't have to do anything but when people started packing their bags and leaving I had to grow up and help my family. I still help my grandma a little bit because I moved out and that's even more of a check that she doesn't have anymore. I'm glad I'm able to help because she was always there for me when I needed something.

Marigolds moving into adulthood

I think the pressures of going into adulthood are hard because you have to learn how to be independent and manage your own life. I also feel that you have to do things all by yourself and know when to wake up, when to ea,t and when to go to sleep.Being here you always have someone there for you. Say you run out of money you can usually ask for a loan from your family and just pay them back, but if your on your own and you don't have a job yet who are you going to call. These are the types of things that people have to deal with when they leave home. I think being prepared before you leave the nest is a important thing to do.

Thank you ma'm letter

Dear Ms. Luella Bates Washington Jones,

It's me Roger the kid that tried to steal your purse a while back. I know I'm probably the last person that you expected to here from six years later, but I just wanted to say thank you ma'm. After, my visit from your house I decided I wasn't going to steal anymore, and that I'm going to get my life together. I got my Suede shoes the next day . I was so happy that I finally got shoes that my toes didn't poke through out the front. I went to school and I washed my face everyday. I got out of the streets and tried to follow the rules as much as possible. I just wanted to thank you in a letter because you don't know how much I walked up to your house and tried to say it to your face. I'm much stronger now and I'm moving on to college.

Sincerely,
Roger
P.S Thank you ma'm
